The real focus, and hoped-for benefit, is to increase one's connection with heaven. Strengthening the relationship between individuals and Heavenly Father. And then strengthening relationships between wife and husband, parent and child, grandparents and grandchildren.
Another benefit that we hope will come to readers is to see that even families who are strong and have a lot of success in some areas, may struggle with home-based worship. That it's not just a one-time struggle–that for many, it's an ongoing struggle, kind of a battle of attrition. If you're having a hard time in some ways, if this pattern of home-based worship is a challenge to you, you are not alone. You're just like the rest of us.
Can friends of diverse faiths apply the ideas in this book to their families?
We sure hope so. For over twenty years, we've been inspired by the strengths learned from diverse families of faith. Hopefully, some of the best of what we have learned from families in our own faith will inspire our friends of other faiths as well.
